Come along to our meetups to improve your art in a relaxed and social atmosphere and under the guidance of a professional instructor. Complete beginners to experienced artists all welcome.

Our 2 hour meetups are held in a different location each time, usually outdoors.

Bring your own materials which can be anything from pencils or pastels, to watercolour or oils.

If you are a complete beginner all you need to start are a couple of good drawing pencils, a rubber, and a drawing pad.

Who can attend? Open to all skill levels, from beginners to experienced artists. The instructor is there to help everyone.

The meeting point and full details for the day are sent in the booking confirmation email to the email address you provide at time of booking.

Join the Bridgeport Watercolor Group on Facebook to share your art and enjoy the art of other locals.
ARTISTS
Cecily Marie Morales
Welcome !
My name is Cecily.
Art has been one of my greatest passions since a child and I'm excited to share that passion with you. Art in the simplest of terms and the expression of ones inner ESSENCE! Something as complete as a 9 foot sculpture to the way one decorates your home. ART IS EVERYWHERE !

I'm so excited to bring out the greatest parts of YOU being YOU. Come join me on the journey of discovery through paint.
From the mind, to the heart into your hands onto a canvas and appreciation into the eyes of your soul.

I love going for the cape and watching the waves crash up against the rocks! It reminds me that when life comes at me it doesn?t have to overtake me! I just smile and keep on painting!

Title or Location: Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King
As a pastelist, I tried to do this portrait and it never came out like I wanted to. When I started doing watercolor, I fought against using the grid method and I learned all about layering. Martin Luther King has taught me so much even doing art!

I almost threw this away. Sometimes I have a hard time "pushing through" a painting that I am doing. I'm tempted to stop and say "this is not good, I won't finish it, it's awful". I painted the sky background a year ago and the painting just sat in a corner. One day I decided to just "play" with this piece of paper and I loved what happened! Quite often I find that I need to let my artwork just cook in a corner. Every once in a while I surprise myself!

Title or Location: Los Sue?os Sonoran
I use my small watercolor kit to document the places I experience while traveling and working on tje road. I was able to spend most of the winter in Arizona, spending time in the unique Sonoran desert. Where each saguaro cacti has its own personality within the Sonoran's surreal landscape.

Title or Location: Lone Oak
After I had joint replacement surgery on my left thumb, my dominant hand, I still wanted to paint. I thought that I'd just play with color using my right hand to wield the brush. To my amazement, I painted with more spontaneity and with a looseness I've been trying to achieve before. Maybe I'm ambidextrous and have only just discovered it (I'm 76).

Title or Location: Twilight in Penarth
I used to live in Penarth, and find it an interesting town by the sea, with lovely shopping, eclectic coffee shops, parks, and of course the wonderful pier. I am also fascinated by the wonderful lamps in Britain and beyond, their history and intricate designs. Hence this lovely lamp, taken from its neighbours, to stand proud and alone, but with the outline of the pier behind to illustrate its context of Penarth.
